Frequently Asked Questions

Sprig Health

Q:

What is Sprig Health?

A:

We are a direct-pay online marketplace that connects cash-pay patients and providers. Built around a simple shop-pay-go model, Sprig Health lets patients shop for health care services, purchase online and then schedule an appointment directly with their provider. No more claim forms, insurance hassles or surprise bills. It’s price transparency at its best.

Q:

Where did the name come from?

A:

The word sprig represents new growth. As an offshoot of the current health care system, Sprig Health stems from the need for direct access to health care providers, at a transparent price — no insurance required.

Orders

Q:
How do I order a health care service?
A:

Ordering through Sprig Health is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

   1. Shop for Care: Compare providers and choose from over 130 services — everything from wellness exams to chiropractic care and massage.

   2. Pay for a Service: Place your order for a service — use a major credit card to lock in the Sprig savings. Your card will be charged after you have received care.

   3. Go to the Appointment: Contact your provider directly to schedule an appointment — tell them you paid at SprigHealth.com.

Q:
What do I need to do after I’ve submitted my order?
A:

You’ll see confirmation page with details related to the service you ordered, including your confirmation code. Contact your provider’s office directly to schedule an appointment; have your confirmation code handy in case the provider requests it over the phone. Show up at your provider’s office at the scheduled appointment time—bring your confirmation code to your appointment too.

Q:
Can I submit an order for someone else?
A:

Of course! You can submit an order for a family member or a friend. Log in to your account to place the order. Indicate that this service is for someone else and fill in the person’s details. Please note that the person who contacts the provider to schedule an appointment time will need the confirmation code.

Q:
What if I have to change or cancel my order?
A:

If you made a mistake and ordered the wrong service, or if you no longer want the service that you ordered, please contact us by phone at 1 (855) 697-7744 or by email at customer-service@sprighealth.com. We will change or cancel the order in the Sprig Health system. If you have already scheduled an appointment with your provider, you will need to contact the provider directly to cancel the appointment time.

Q:
What do I need when I show up for my appointment?
A:

Be sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time and have your confirmation code on hand. Also, when you schedule your appointment, please ask your provider if any additional preparation is required for your appointment.

Q:
Do I need health insurance to use Sprig Health?
A:

Nope. You don’t need health insurance — and that’s what makes us unique. Sprig is a marketplace that connects health care providers and cash-paying patients. Just sign up, shop, pay and go to your appointment!

Q:
What is my confirmation code used for?
A:

Your confirmation code serves as your proof of payment. When you present your confirmation code to your provider, you enable the provider to verify your order details and collect payment for services received. Be sure to bring your confirmation code to your appointment.

Q:
What should I do if I lose my confirmation code?
A:

If you misplace your confirmation code, please log in to your Sprig Health account and go to the “My Account” drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner. Select the “My Orders” option and you will see all your current orders including their confirmation codes. Additionally, you can obtain your confirmation code by calling Sprig Health Customer Service at 1 (855) 697-7744.

Q:
When will I be charged for my order?
A:

Your credit or debit card will be charged once you show up for your appointment and receive the health care services that you ordered.

Q:
What if I wasn’t able to make my appointment?
A:

We realize how busy life can be and that sometimes you may have to adjust your schedule at the last minute. Contact your provider directly if you need to change your appointment time; please be considerate of your provider’s time and give as much advance notice as possible.

Q:
I have individual health insurance. Can I use Sprig Health?
A:

Yes. Anyone can place an order on SprigHealth.com. Services purchased on Sprig Health may or may not count toward your insurance deductible; check with your insurance provider for more information. Please note that providers are unable to submit Sprig services for billing through insurance. Additionally, services ordered through Sprig Health will not qualify for reimbursement through state or federal insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, workers compensation or automobile insurance. You can use your HSA, FSA or HRA for most medical services on SprigHealth.com; a list of qualified medical expenses is available on the IRS website: www.irs.gov, IRS Publication 502, "Medical and Dental Expenses."

Pricing

Q:
What will it cost me?
A:

Joining Sprig Health is free. The price that you’ll pay to see a provider will vary depending on the treatment that you select. Take a look at our services or search by location and you’ll get a clear description of the service and a straightforward price.

Q:
Will I have to pay more when I get to the provider’s office?
A:

When you order a service, you will receive a clear description of that service. There may be situations when your diagnosis requires other services at an additional price. You will be able to order follow-up services through Sprig Health or your provider may refer you to other choices. Most importantly, the provider will be looking out for your unique health needs.

Providers

Q:
What do I do if I have a poor experience with one of your providers?
A:

We take our customers’ experiences very seriously. If you have any concerns, please email us at customer-service@sprighealth.com to file an official complaint. If the experience is severe, you always have the option to file an official complaint with the provider’s respective board.

Q:
How do you certify your providers?
A:

Sprig Health wants to ensure our customers receive the highest quality of care. One way for us to do that is to review and verify each provider's records (such as state board and business licenses) in order to ensure the provider is adequately equipped to perform the services offered on SprigHealth.com.
